Although we should have met in the fall of 1987, we spent 30 years living parallel lives without knowing of each other. Joe and I had mutual friends, were in the same places and events. Joe was even close friends with my cousin. We met through an app, and set a coffee date, which lasted 9 hours. We quickly realized we were sharing stories from the past 30 years that completed each other's stories, without ever physically meeting before then. When Joe met my kids, they sensed the same thing.

Our favorite memory is definitely our first date. A morning coffee date, turned into lunch and a walk at a beach. It lasted 9 hours. The most special thing was the feeling we both felt that day. It was as if puzzle pieces just all fit together with signs like a wedding on the hilltop. Since then, all we do is make more memories, with us, the kids, friends and family. We have shared so many adventures since we met, and for us, the most important thing is making memories with those we love.

We have been wanting to open a coffee shop, since we met up in one. We plan to create a space where people's stories are shared and celebrated. A place where beautiful memories can be made, and long lasting relationships can flourish. Joe and I are the type of people that gravitate to human love and feelings. We want to share that. The money would be used to start up the coffee shop. Who knows our coffee shop can be the beginning of other beautiful stories like ours?
