We met in February at a Chinese New Year's Party in 2002. Within a week, we had our first date & by April, he asked me to be "his girl." Our paths could have & should have crossed so much sooner. He went to college with & was friends with my then boyfriend when I was in high school. In college, my friend, working at a music store, kept trying to set me up with her coworker, Joe. I always said, "no." We met when the time was right. Joe is the love of my life. We love each other more each day.

Everyday with Joe is the perfect memory. We have been on many adventures, some exciting like a 3-week road trip across the US, Christmas in Europe! Some are just life, like adopting a rescue dog and several cats, moving together, being there for each other when times are good and being the right support when life is hard and sad. We don't celebrate Valentine's Day, because for us, EVERYDAY is Valentine's Day. Everyday is a gift that I get to be with Joe.

Our 20th Anniversary is in May 2026 & we would love to plan a trip to Italy. We were last there on our honeymoon & it has been our dream to go back. My husband is a working musician & I am a public school teacher, so finding a way to afford a "second" honeymoon is as challenging financially as it was to go on our actual honeymoon in May 2006. With $20,000, we could plan a dream honeymoon. Although, I would be tempted to plan a small wedding, because I would marry this guy again in a heartbeat!
