We beat the odds of high school relationships!
We would like to thank you for supporting Jocelyn and Alphonso in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
It began in high school! We met sophomore year through his best friend Angel. Believe it or not, I did not like Alphonso in the beginning, but who could resist that face? Three months into our relationship we knew what true love was and over the years that love has just grown exponentially.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory would be our move cross country. We moved from Oklahoma to California (our home state) with our dog Mia just so excited for the future and for new beginnings. It was August 2021 and we were both very eager to start our journey in California freshly out of high school ready to experience the real world!
What would you do with $20,000?Get married! We have held out for so long due to the big expense of a wedding. We want to celebrate our love with friends and family but simply cannot afford it. This money would be able to give us the opportunity to finally have our dream wedding.
