We met through a mutual friend, Darren, at a local bar. I would not talk to DJ at all because I thought he was so cute! He kept begging Darren to leave, but he said, no - she likes you, you are staying, and I am leaving, forcing us to talk to one another. We talked until the next day when I had to go to work. DJ said he would come back later that night and meet me at the same bar. He was late, I thought he stood me up. I was singing my final song, when he walked through the door!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory would be our Wedding Day. We both had children from a prior marriage, they were ages 5 & 7 when we got married. So when we decided to get married there was not even a doubt if the girls would be part of the wedding. We got married in our house, in front of our Christmas Tree, surrounded by family and friends, almost 28 years ago.
What would you do with $20,000?We would put it towards our vacation fund and spend some time in Italy after our Greece cruise next year and go back to Hawaii. We want to continue to 'live our best life now'. It took a cancer diagnosis, almost 9 years ago, to make us realize that life is too short, tomorrow is not guaranteed and that you should cherish the time you have to spend with each other.
