I had given up on love and was seeking friends on a queer social app when I messaged Joel for the first time. Joel is a hopeless romantic and knew all along he wanted to be more than friends, but he was waiting for me to figure out my feelings before making a move. He didn’t have to wait long—one day at the grocery store, the cashier flirted with him right in front of me, and I knew then and there, we were already more than friends. We’ve been inseparable and in love ever since!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We lived two hours apart when we met, and after the longest year of dating, we finally moved into a house together. Moving day was stressful, tiring, and long, but we still stayed up until 4am that night decorating the walls of our new house to make it feel like ours. We had been ready to take this step for a long time, and neither of us wanted to let the day end!
What would you do with $20,000?We are getting married in Las Vegas this October, and we would love to use the prize money to pay off our reservations and have our dream wedding with less stress! The remainder would also allow us to get a newer, more reliable car to get Jo to and from work.
