How did your love story begin?

We both got fired for the same position on a Lifetime movie set! Jimmy was a cameraman, and Kat an assistant director. Over three weeks, Jimmy was fired, replaced with Kat, who’d never worked in camera, and then rehired as her assistant. It was chaos, but we got really close. By the end of the movie, Jimmy would quit, Kat would also get fired, but we’d form a special bond. Eventually, after a few beach trips, a car break-in, and several months of will-they-won’t-they, we fell for each other :)

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

After only two months of dating, Jimmy had finished a script for a personal story about the loss of his father and using art to work through it. Even though they’d only been dating for a short time, he felt safe enough to be this vulnerable with her, and that she was the one he wanted to shoot the movie with. Together, they built an amazing cast and crew and filmed the movie at a small beachside home in Maine. By the end of the emotional process, the two knew what they had was special.

What would you do with $20,000?

We both live pretty modest lives. There are a lot of ways $20,000 would be life changing for us, so it’s hard to think of just one thing. With that kind of freedom, we could begin funding our first feature film together, or someday, we would love to put it towards some land up in New Hampshire to start building our first house together. But who knows? Maybe we’ll buy a van and travel North America with our kitties hunting ghosts.
