Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story began in high school when I was waiting after school for my ride and noticed Jim, a charming guy from another school. I thought, "Wow, that guy is really cute!" But like many fleeting moments, life moved on. Fast forward 8 years, at a local bar we spotted eachother. My heart skipped a beat, and it felt like time stood still. Jim approached me & asked if I had gone to Aquinas High School. When I replied yes, We laughed about our encounter, effortlessly bridging the years apart.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first lunch date felt like something out of a Sicilian movie. We shared laughter and stories, met each other's families, and later enjoyed dinner together. By 11 PM, it was evident that we were meant for each other. It's amazing to think that a random encounter from years ago blossomed into this wonderful journey. Our story beautifully illustrates the serendipity of life and how unexpected connections can lead to something truly magical.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’m excited to help kids in Kansas City who need support! So many children are starting school without the basic supplies, clothes, or food they need. As a mom of six, I know firsthand how costly it can be to raise children! That’s why I’m planning to donating to local charities in the Kansas City metro area.
