We met on a dating app, very on-brand for zillennials. From our profiles, the phrase "Nerdy Cat Dad" caught Jessie's eye, "Ecologist" stood out to Del. Those words soon defined us: nerdy, cat-loving environmentalists. Two days later, we met at a local brewery where the conversation flowed as smoothly as the craft beer. From that day on, we have not left each other's side, even through life's best and most challenging parts.

As a multi-faceted couple, it's hard to choose just one moment. Whether it's pulling a rare Pokémon card, caring for butterflies, chasing off predators while babysitting lambs, staying up all night gaming until sunrise, or laughing in the car so hard Jess can't see and has to pull over—our favorite memories are simply being side by side, surrounded by cats, love, and laughter.

We dream of owning a small farmette filled with chickens, Shetland sheep, and rescued animals—mini donkeys are at the top of Del’s wish list. As passionate environmentalists, we envision creating a thriving wildlife habitat on our property, where we can also grow fruits and vegetables and produce sustainable fiber. Our ultimate goal is to host workshops for nonprofits, particularly the New Jersey Fibershed, to educate others about sustainable agriculture, textiles, and working with nature.
