Connect How did your love story begin?

I like to tell people we met on the psychiatric unit. Truth is, I worked on a psych unit as a nurse and she started as a travel nurse in 2015. We worked 12 hour night shifts together and spent a lot of time together. I noticed she was smart, beautiful and had a great sense of humor, and she noticed what a stud I was. She was only supposed to work there 3 months, so we weren't expecting to fall in love, but we did. I knew she was the one when she said she wanted to be married by Elvis in Vegas.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory was getting married by Elvis in Las Vegas in October 2020. We planned it for 2 years, and covid didn't stop us. We planned a 3 day party and it was perfect! We were driven into the building in his pink Cadillac which blew peoples minds, and Elvis sang 3 songs. Our friends dressed for crazy Vegas and we ate, drank and danced the night away. It was the only thing some of our friends did that year, and they told us it was the best wedding ever!

What would you do with $20,000?

Have more babies! We weren't able to have children naturally, so we went through fertility treatments and embryo implantation. These were very expensive. The first two implantations were unsuccessful and we lost them. We were blessed on the third try and had our now 11 month old boy Theodore Rexford (aka...Teddy Rex or T-Rex). We have two girls and a boy in the freezer and we want to have all the babies. This money would be used to pay for the next implantation this fall, and all these diapers.
