From a college play to lifelong soulmates—our love isn’t perfect, but it’s real, deep, and worth it. Grateful, inspired, & unbreakable.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We auditioned and were cast in the same play in college. We were both dating other people at the time, but by the time the show wrapped we found ourselves single and instantly connected.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our honeymoon. We didn’t have much, but we packed up our car and spent a week road-tripping. We intended to make it to New Orleans, but ended up in Memphis where we took in the food, music, and culture. What was most special was visiting the Civil Rights museum. As an interracial couple, seeing the history that had to come before us that allowed us the right to be husband and wife was heartbreaking and inspiring. It almost felt meant to be and we are forever grateful for the experience.
What would you do with $20,000?We bought our first home in 2018. A lovely little 1939 farmette on a little under an acre of land that we have been slowly making improvements to. We would use this money to finish some projects we’ve been working to complete. And hopefully, with anything left, we can take a family vacation with our daughter to her favorite place on earth, Disney World.
