Connect How did your love story begin?

We worked together as Nicu RNs and were in the same friend group, but we never hung out alone. 1 night after my plans were cancelled I texted him to ask for his address and invite myself over. He’s a total introvert and I think I scared him, but he gave me the address. We ended up playing board games and talking all night, I even invited myself as his +1 at his sisters wedding. 2 wks later I was dancing with his whole family in nyc and I cancelled my plane tic back to stay the weekend with him.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We travel whenever we get the chance, and we took the trip of a lifetime to Crete. The locals were lovely, and a shop owner told us about a secret beach near a popular one we had planned for the next day. We arrived at the tourist beach with nowhere to sit. With just the memory of his sketchy landmarks and measurements, we ended up climbing down a rocky hill and finding the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, completely deserted. We laid on the sand (topless!) all afternoon. Best day ever.

What would you do with $20,000?

Him: Put half in a high-interest savings account, invest the other half Me: European adventure, hit up Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and the Orient Express. Reality: Half for a new roof, 1/4 for a trip out west (Big Sur would be nice) and a 1/4 for the Trevor Project bc they do amazing things and they need it now more than ever ❤️
