Connect How did your love story begin?

We originally met in 6th grade for him and 7th grade for me at a bowling alley party for school. A celebration for chorus class. We were together 4 years and teen feelings happened but we still cared a lot for one another. Fast forward to 2015. My friend showed me a picture of his employees going on a kings dominion trip. Who was in the picture? None other than my ex. My friend gave him my phone number. We started contacting each other immediately. We went on our first date for the second time!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our engagement. I had no idea! I started a tradition at our local library of a Comix Con. I turned the reins over when I became sick with leukemia for the second time. However, we still volunteer. I was dressed in a nice dress for the thousands of people that come and Jes decided not to wear a costume. I’m sitting at the table with raffle tickets and next thing I know he is behind me saying Sissi Lee. I get up and he is dressed head to toe is his hell diver costume on bended knee. I said yes!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would love to have a wedding to celebrate us and our friends that have helped us with beating cancer and our love journey. Our honeymoon is Disney World so this will help make our dreams come true in a magical place! (We do have some medical bills, also.)
