Connect How did your love story begin?

We met through mutual friends—no grand love story, just two broken souls drawn to each other. We took it slow, both guarded, both healing. Strangely, we drove the same car—same year, make, model—his black, mine white. Yin and yang. That’s who we became. We found connection through hiking, growing closer with every adventure into the wilderness. Our upbringings mirrored each other, and it felt like fate—two people meant to find each other and build something better, together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Backpacking the Enchanted Valley—3 days, 23 miles, 35 lbs of gear each. I was exhausted and unsure I’d make it. That first morning, deep in the wilderness, Jeremy caught me completely off guard and proposed. I had no idea it was coming. Surrounded by mountains, glaciers, a river, and wild beauty—I said yes!

What would you do with $20,000?

In January 2020, we planned a big family trip to Costa Rica—but postponed after finding out I was pregnant and due to the Zika risk. Just months later, the world shut down. We’ve never had a real family vacation, and with $20,000, we’d finally take that long-awaited trip—creating memories, exploring new places, and giving our kids the adventure we’ve dreamed of sharing with them. It’s time to make it happen.
