I first met Karl during my junior year in high school. More specifically, when I made his ass head for our production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Karl played Bottom, and I was Hippolyta. We didn’t start dating until later that year during a friends trip to Ocean City, MD. A few off and on years during college eventually found us making our way back to each other. Having figured out who we were as individuals truly made us appreciate how strong we were as a couple.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We’ve shared so many amazing moments and experiences. One of my favorites was small but meaningful. Early on in our marriage, we took a weekend trip to Cleveland. We spent an entire day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - we looked at all the exhibits, read every single artifact description, and listened to hours of music. We had such a great time, we shut the place down! Just a laid back day enjoying each other’s company, music, and a new city.
What would you do with $20,000?Our 20th wedding anniversary is next year. We’ve been dreaming of a trip to Scotland for the last five years - a whole week enjoying Islay and another week exploring the rest of the country. Unfortunately, we’ve experienced several unexpected life events that have depleted our savings, so it looks like our trip will have to wait a bit.
