We actually went to school together in elementary school. We were in the same home room. We both moved after 5th grade to different schools and lost touch. 15 years later I was on terminal leave from the Marine Corps and we ran into each other at a local bar….and the rest is history. The night I met her, I told her I was going to marry her. And here we are, 26 years later. Life would’ve been very different if I would’ve decided to re-enlist. I thank the Lord every day that I didn’t.

Aside from the days our kids were born, we have many. We LOVE traveling together. It’s been a passion of ours since 2015 when we took our first cruise. Now that we are older, and our kids are grown, we try and take as many trips as possible together. We even made a pact with each other: no more Christmas or birthday gifts. We have enough stuff. We want to make memories with each other. So our gift to one another is a cruise at the beginning of the year.

Well, I know some folks might say “pay bills”, but honestly, we don’t have a whole lot of debt. So we really don’t need to pay off anything. In fact, fortunately, both of our kids’ will have gotten through college debt free. No loans. We have been blessed to have a bit of help with tuition because I am a partially disabled veteran. But to answer your question, we would love to have the opportunity to take a once in a lifetime vacation. Maybe Iceland. Maybe Greece. The possibilities are endless.
