How did your love story begin?

He walked into an evening class I was taking. I recognized him from a student film that won a a national award. I turned to my sis. That’s Jeff Allen. I’m going to talk to him. I’m going to marry him. We had never spoken before that night but knew I would marry him. I wrote in my journal so I have proof! Our first date was to watch his friend’s new film and to see his sister belly dance. He was tan and his spirit was so shiny from spending two years in Brazil and I was hooked.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

That time we climbed a mountain. We climbed Mt Stewart, the most exposed granite in N America. We trained together,he risked his life when he thought I was falling, he protected me from all the mice running over us as we rested for 3 hours before summiting, telling me it was nothing every time I asked what the noise was. It was hard and but we did it together.

What would you do with $20,000?

Our youngest 2 kids just graduated. We have sacrificed so much for our kids so I would want to buy him an old ‘57 or ‘58 Chrysler(big fins) to fix up since he sold His last one to go back to school He would want to me go to England to see where my grandparents are from & cuz I haven’t traveled anywhere but N America. We would argue who should have their dream, and end up doing neither so that the other isn’t sad. That sums up our marriage-give up what we want to give the other what they need
