Our love story began in high school, a long-distance romance fueled by letters and costly phone calls. After graduation, college and the Army widened the gap, and we drifted apart. Almost two decades later, our friend Maynard reconnected us. We talked and talked until the Starbucks closed and then spent the rest of the day at a park. It was clear: I wanted to grow old with her.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory as a couple is linked to our daughter. In high school, friends called us JaySa—my name, Jay, and Sa short for Eloisa. Years later, Eloisa knew we'd have a girl before she was even pregnant. Our daughter's name was already written, a beautiful echo of our past and whats to be of our future.
What would you do with $20,000?Eloisa has been under immense stress at work. I'd love to use that money to invest in our future, perhaps in a business or real estate. Better yet, use it to help us turn our story into a book. "The First Time We Met Again" Sounds like a best seller to me. Life's too short to be stressed! Love can support anything.
