Our love story began in 2013 on a local TV show. I was a stand-in on *Teen Talk Television*, and Javier was the featured guest—a star basketball player and Yale Econ major there to inspire young people. I was specifically placed by producers to ask him questions so that others would follow suit. A few days later, he added me on Facebook. It took him two years to ask me out—but from that moment on, we’ve been writing a love story that was worth the wait.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is Christmas & New Year’s 2016 in Budapest while Javier played pro overseas. From the twinkling Christmas markets to a romantic river dinner and buzzing nightlife, it was pure magic. That trip is when I truly fell in love with him—just us, the city lights, and a feeling I’ll never forget.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we’d start a college/career fund for our son, Xavier Josiah Duren. After a 5-year fertility battle, we were blessed to welcome him. We want Xavier to chase his dreams debt-free, so we’re laying a strong financial foundation now—giving him the best start possible for his future.
