I was a freshman in college, volunteering as a youth sponsor at my church. We hosted a youth event for NYE with live music. My husband was the lead singer for the headlining band. Never in my life had I ever caught feelings immediately like I did when I saw him, and then heard him sing. We had several connections, that we had no idea about at the time. When they all learned that I fell hard for him, it became their mission to get us together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of my favorite memories was a surprise party my husband organized for me our first year of marriage. When we got married I was 21 and my favorite place to eat back then was McDonald's. My husband, understanding my obsession, put together a surprise party for me where we ended the night at McDonald's. But the reason it is a favorite memory is not because of McDonald's or because of the surprise party. It was because he showed up to the party full on dressed as Ronald McDonald. I. DIED.
What would you do with $20,000?Our 25th wedding anniversary is coming up May 2026. It would be amazing to plan a dream European vacation, something we always talked about doing while we were dating but never made happen.
