Our love story is one that took us both by surprise. This would be a second marriage for both of us. We were cautious, then the curve ball..

Friends invited me to watch them shoot pool one night and they introduced me to this 6'4" socially shy guy. He didn't speak much to me, but I kept catching him looking at me. I told my friend to give him my number although I didn't feel he was interested.I was a caregiver for the elderly and needed to be up early. He got the text and replied 'a beautiful woman with a big heart wants to date me?yes.I'll call her'.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Not long after we met, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. (More of this story is attached to our photo submission). Jason had expressed wanting to get engaged, but this diagnosis turned into a wedding! My favorite memory is our wedding. 17 people on a Tuesday afternoon. He could have bailed. Love and commitment kept us together. We took for better or worse, sickness or health very seriously. 6 years later I'm still here.WE are still here! Our love is bigger than this diagnosis!
What would you do with $20,000?Jason and I live very simply. My illness has brought major belt tightening. Our little home in NC needs a few repairs. We'd love 8 new windows and our deck repaired so we can enjoy our views of our yard. If there is any left over, we'd take a trip to the Carolina coast as we absolutely love it there.
