I wasn’t looking—but I saw him right away. He came to take our order, then walked away singing, and I just melted. When he stopped nearby, I said, “This is my cousin—I haven’t seen him in years—but I can’t hear a word he’s saying because you’re so freaking adorable.” He took my hand. “Hi, I’m Jarom.” “Hi, I’m Jerel.” And just like that, something shifted. The air changed. The universe winked. We didn’t know it yet, but love was about to change everything.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?It’s hard to choose a favorite—we just love being together! Whether we’re soaking in mountain hot springs, hanging with rock stars, digging for precious stones, or simply playing chess and dancing to vinyl at home, everything becomes an adventure. Road trips are the best: visiting family, catching concerts, chasing experience. Whatever we do, wherever we go, we have fun. Life is better together.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d travel—reconnect with friends near and far, and explore the places we’ve always dreamed of together. We’d bring our book, Because I Dreamed of You—a story in poetry I wrote for Jarom’s birthday—and give it away to everyone we meet. We’d share our joy, our story, and a little bit of magic—hoping it reminds others of the love they have, the love they dream of, or the love still waiting to find them.
