After living only 4 blocks apart for a year, we met and fell in love days before I was set to move away to another state!

We met for drinks with a mutual friend in Brooklyn. For Renee, it was a last goodbye before moving home after a year in NYC. For Jared, it was to catch up with a high school friend. After moving from drinks to dinner, we found that we lived on the same street for a year without meeting! Jared walked Renee home and told her he was “smitten.” Jared asked to see Renee every day before she left NYC forever to convince her to stay or let him visit. They were in love before the moving truck van came
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Besides the day we met and the day we got married, we are amazed by the many coincidences that occurred during our first week of dating. It’s when we fell in love and that newfound love must have been obvious to everyone. During our first date we got “how long have you been married?” and “are you two engaged?” several times. Jared ran into Mayor de Blasio during our second date and tried to get him to convince Renee to stay in NY.
What would you do with $20,000?We love spending time with each other at home. To make our time together more comfortable, we would spend $20,000 to renovate the 1915 brownstone that has been in Jared’s family since 1930.
