Our love story began at college when I (Dane) was “trying” to talk to another girl who brushed me off and introduced me to Jenn… where Jenn then friend zoned me for 3 years. But, I like to think of it as me playing the long game. We started as friends, and worked our way through periods of long distance, cultural differences, and other life challenges to arrive at 6 happy years together this year
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Peñíscola, Spain in 2023. We labeled it as our perfect day. We kayaked at sunrise around the Castell de Peñíscola, shopped behind the castle wall, had coffee with our lovely Air BnB host, ate fresh seafood, spent time on the beach, explored the castle, were treated as VIPs at a night club, and finished the night at sunset with a bottle of wine. The perfect day, with the perfect person.
What would you do with $20,000?As we are recently engaged, we are figuring out how to have a wedding that fuses both of our cultures into a Hmong-American wedding. There are also Hmong practices that this would help cover, and the rest we want to put down on a house.
