Zachary and I have a hallmark story (we’ve been told. We have overcome obstacles that many couples won’t. It’s true true love.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jane and Zach in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I graduated nursing school and was searching for a rental in the city 30 minutes away from where I was living at the time. A mutual friend who I graduated school with was casually dating Zach and mentioned to me that he needed to fill a unit in one of his rental properties. There was a catch. I had to be his “fake girlfriend” in case people asked he lived with me due to the type of loan he used to buy the house with. He asked me out a week later and we’ve only spent 2 night separate in 2 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Two months into dating we were traveling and in Venice Italy at the time. Lost and “buzzed”, Zach’s phone died. His was the only one with international signal. We had my phone with wifi only and went from a cafe to find ourselves at a pharmacy, another cafe, stopped for some more Prosecco at a restaurant and somehow we we by accident stumbled upon our airbnb. Hot, sweaty, Bellini drunk I found a gummy bear, chewed it, asked if he wanted one and placed the half chewed bear in his mouth.
What would you do with $20,000?We would probably plan a small wedding in Boston where I’m from and plan a trip to Portugal. We value experiences over material items so yes definitely the money would go towards making memories for us and our families.
