How did your love story begin?

Our story began much like many other modern couples, on bumble, however as soon as we began to know each other our story became our own. We are two very distinct people who grew up in opposite circumstances but have found in each other our better halves. Jose grew up on a farm in rural Colombia he dreamed of an American life. I (Jane) grew up in Portland, OR. Jose eventually moved to this country, choosing Portland to live out his dreams unknowing his life partner had been here waiting.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s hard to pick a singular favorite memory when everything you do together makes it more fun. I would have to say one of our best moments was just in a warm ocean playing games with each other; throwing seaweed, wrestling, racing. We just make everything become extra light hearted and goofy. We find it’s the best way to maximize joy. Side note this also works wonders when it comes to things like chores.

What would you do with $20,000?

It’s hard to even imagine how far this would go for us. Sadly, in these times money is quite tight and a majority we would want to use to cover car payments, rent and finally have a good savings. I would however like to allocate some to go on a dream honeymoon, as we never went. Ever since we have known each other we’ve dreamed of visiting Japan, the beauty, culture, food, life and of course Pokémon! We have also always dreamed of having a dog this would finally allow that.
