Connect How did your love story begin?

We found love in a hopeless place—on the LA Metro Gold Line in 2022, heading to a Dodgers doubleheader. I had an extra ticket and noticed him in the train car, clearly dressed for the game, so I asked. With masks on, neither of us knew what the other looked like! We never found someone for the ticket, but we ended up sitting together. That chance encounter sparked countless adventures, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is when he met me in Paris after I finished volunteering at the Olympics. We rented a car and explored France, including spending a magical day at Chauvet-Pont-d'Arc Cave and ending in the hidden village of Goult. That night, during a lively street party celebrating Notre-Dame de Lumières, he proposed—an unforgettable moment surrounded by music, joy, and the charm of a French village.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d use $20,000 to give back and improve our lives. First, we’d donate to Friends of Big Bear Valley to support their amazing work with bald eagles, which bring us joy. Then, we'd pay off some debt, easing financial stress. Finally, we'd invest in our tiny one-bedroom apartment—hopefully getting a professionally installed air conditioner since we don’t have one! A mix of generosity, responsibility, and comfort.
