Jamin had started a single adults group at our church in the fall of 2019 after having been single for about three years. I heard about the group and joined. After about a year, I was interested and let him know. He politely and respectfully declined. I knew he was someone worth waiting for and we remained close friends for another 14 months before he reciprocated any interest. We began dating in 2022 and married in 2023.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our wedding is my favorite memory. It was a small ceremony by a friend’s pond, with only our children, parents, and a few close friends in attendance. As you can imagine, it would be difficult to get that many grown children in one place, but we managed to get all but one. It was a very special memory as two families became one.
What would you do with $20,000?I would like to help ease any financial insecurity of my mother, and Jamin’s parents, if we are able. We are entering our golden years and have lots of kids and grandkids. I have no doubt they would see a lot of it!
