I caught his eye at a fraternity party at WKU. It was Halloween, year 2000, I had pink hair that night. My friends and I moved to a second party, we ran into each other there as well. We talked and danced that night but didn't exchange numbers. An ongoing, 24 year debate... James was also pursuing two of my friends. Ha! A few weeks later, we bumped into one another at a bar. We talked all night and finally he asked for my number.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We dated six months before James left for boot camp (Army). From there, it was six weeks before we saw each other again. The weeks he was gone, I revisited some old irons in the fire (other guys from past, still worthy of my consideration), wasn't positive I'd continue with James. When it came time for James's basic training graduation, I knew if I showed up, the gravity of the relationship realized. When he saw me in the crowd and I saw him in formation, we both knew, that was it.
What would you do with $20,000?Our youngest daughter is entering her senior year of high school... we're beginning to imagine life as empty nesters. Its been my dream for so long, to open a boutique hotel in our adorable downtown of Lagrange, KY. The money would kick-start the process.
