How did your love story begin?

Our love story began by swiping right on Tinder. I remember it vividly I was taking a bath one evening swiping and he was eating no Thai hanging out with a friend of his. I noticed right away that he was very good at holding a conversation and that was very attractive to me. We decided after about a week of talking that we wanted to meet up. So, I did exactly what the Tinder Documentary tells you not to do. Told nobody and met him at his apartment. Lucky for me he wasn’t an axe murderer.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There’s so many favorite memories that we’ve shared over the years. But, if I have to narrow it down to just one. I would say that my absolute favorite memory is when he was on American Idol and I got the chance to go be present for one of his live shows. He and I developed a love for California from this trip and eventually we moved there for 3 years! Now we’re back in Michigan due to a wonderful work opportunity for me. So, I’d like to take him somewhere special for sacrificing for me.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use a portion to help pay off our debt that we accumulated moving across the country from Michigan to California and back! The other portion we would use to get married and travel somewhere together to experience the world outside of the United States. We both have a dream of going somewhere tropical and exotic. And with whatever is left we would donate to LGBTQ+ charities, to give back to our community.
