We're walking miracles. I am a divorcee with 3 young girls who fell (hard) for friend and young(er) widower with 2 kids of his own.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jake and Anna in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
After being acquainted for years, each of us experienced tragic losses which ended up bringing us together. I had to end a marriage of over 10 years after dealing with difficult marital issues; and Jake lost his wife, Whitney (also Anna's friend) to breast cancer after 9 years of marriage. I reached out to Jake after Whitney's passing to schedule a playdate for the kids and to be a friend to him during this difficult time. That playdate led to a real date and grew into a beautiful relationship.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Spending Memorial Day weekend together with our children at a lake house. We made food together, enjoyed Jake's guitar playing, made s'mores by the camp fire, walked to the lake, and generally enjoyed our time together as a blended family. One of the nights, Jake and I drew each other (like the couples on TikTok did in 2024) and we had not laughed that hard in a very long time. Jake's drawing of me was particularly... special... at least he tried! haha!
What would you do with $20,000?Travel as a big family of 7, perhaps to Spain which is a dream destination for both Jake and Anna.
