Joey and I have been together since freshman year of high school. We’ve been together for 10 years total,1 year married. We’re 25 years old
We would like to thank you for supporting Jaiden and Joey in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our story officially begins in middle school, 7th grade, we had occasionally seen and played games with each other during breaks/lunch. We had classes directly across from each other. Eventually, Joey developed a crush on me. But didn’t see me again until 2nd semester of our freshman year of high school after I was put into a drama class. We took care of each other through hard times, such as my mom developing breast cancer and his parents divorcing.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our wedding. Because we’re on the younger side, we didn’t have enough money to properly do a ceremony with family. But we still managed to make it romantic and memorable. It was at a local beach here in Honolulu. I made my own bouquet and wore all black, including my veil.We read each other vows and I cried nonstop. Later, we got dinner at a fancy restaurant with diamond head in view. The next day, we went on a road trip all around the island. On our anniversary, we returned to the same places.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use a little bit of it to travel and toward savings while the rest would contribute towards a wedding ceremony. We eloped but planned on having a ceremony with family after saving up. Our families have been asking when but we still can’t at this time. So winning this competition would mean a lot to us.
