Connect How did your love story begin?

I lived in California and he lived in New Jersey. The company I worked for sold his company's tooling, so he came out for a sales visit, the very weekend that I broke up with my boyfriend for his infidelity. My boss urged me to go out with him since he was staying the weekend and we went to Disneyland. He taught me how to burp at the Blue Bayou restaurant and that was the beginning of our love story. We had so much fun together on that first date and the laughter hasn't stopped.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When he asked me to marry him! It was my first Christmas after losing my mom and he wanted to make the holiday special for me and my family and have a great memory to reflect on instead of a sad one. On Christmas morning, I opened his gift which was a jewelry box, but before I could open it, he said he had to ask my Dad a question. After asking my dad for his permission to marry me, he then asked my younger brother for his permission, which made my brother feel so special. Inside was the ring!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would probably give some to our local animal rescue (Father John's Animal Shelter) and then we would put some towards a second home at the shore. We love to spend time at Sandy Hook, NJ and have dreamed of having a bay front home. We love where we live in Northern Jersey, so we haven't pulled the trigger on being a two home family, but this might help us make that decision. ;-)
