Connect How did your love story begin?

My childhood best friend was friends with Karina for 4 years before we spoke for the first time. We both disliked each other for no apparent reason and it wasn’t until our mutual friend moved away that we became friends (I was with one of Karina’s friends at the time so nothing romantic came of it). When the stars finally aligned for us, it was kismet. We quickly realized our differences made us stronger though we were more alike than we had ever thought.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

On February 13th 2025, Karina and I got officially married at City Hall. (Due to the circumstances we’re not sure this right is guaranteed for much longer). Only our closest friends were invited and it was a sweet and very special moment. It showed we’re choosing to choose each other everyday, with our lows and highs. I had never seen myself actually getting married but I said yes in a heartbeat if it meant we would spend the rest of our lives together.

What would you do with $20,000?

It is our dream to someday have kids that are a little piece of each of us. As this is impossible (for now) naturally, Karina and I are hopeful for reciprocal IVF. We have raised a couple thousands with the help of some friends but we’re a long way from the total cost, since both of us go through the treatment. It would be out of this world to give life to a baby with those adorable tiny eyes.
