We met about 6 years ago through mutual friends. We were both with other people when we met, so it was a few years before we actually ended up together. I was travel nursing, and he was working at the blues bar I frequented in Jackson, MS. There was always a spark between us.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When Isaac and I first started talking, he had a heavy drinking problem. I made it clear that I could not be in a relationship with someone in active addiction, and he completely changed his life to be with me. He's been sober for nearly 3 years now. We've traveled and worked all over the country together, and he makes me proud everyday.
What would you do with $20,000?More than anything, we want a home on some land. We want to raise sheep and grow vegetables and have a place where our children always have a place to live if they want it. Neither Isaac or I had the best childhood, and we want that place that feels like home for us all. The money would go towards that.
