Connect How did your love story begin?

Isaac and I met in 2001 while working at Randall’s. My house had just caught on fire from tropical storm Allison and I moved back in with my mom. One day while working Isaac asked me my name and asked if I go to church. I said yes, he asked for my number, and we went on our first date. We dated for a couple of months and stopped. After living in the same neighborhood for three years without seeing each other , we saw each other at the movies for the first time, and we have been together since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory we share as a couple is our trip to Jamaica for our 15th year anniversary. It was Isaac’s first time traveling outside of the country. We enjoyed a five day vacation alone on the beach and experiencing different activities that we have never done before such as climbing up the waterfalls, having a private ride throughout the city, and staying in a beautiful cabana room with a hot tub outside that faced the ocean.

What would you do with $20,000?

Isaac and I will be married for 20 years in June 2026. We have raised three children, all who have gone to college and have now moved out the house. We have spent a great deal of our marriage catering to our kids going to sports events and preparing them for adulthood. We finally have time to enjoy ourselves. We would love to use part of the $20,000 to go on a vacation to Hawaii for our 20th year anniversary and the other half spend on a new house.
