We just enjoy being together. Both of us are older and people say we look alike! We both put the other first! That’s the key.

We were introduced to by my late cousin Wallace and his wife Cathy. Ina and Cathy worked together. I used to sing karaoke with a live band at “The Perfect Note” in Hoover, AL. It was a special place for us. Our first meeting was there and the rest is history. As time went on, I arranged to sing on Karaoke night and ran off stage towards the end of the song to propose! Of course she still has the video as well as some Luther Vandross songs I sang there.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We are still creating memories! It’s like we’ve known each other all our lives and we’ve only been married for 7 years. We really have enjoyed our getaways , especially the cabins in the mountains.
What would you do with $20,000?Retire some debt and make Ina’s upcoming retirement decision a lot easier to make! She’s served our veterans at the VA for over 30 years and is currently the chief medial technologist for the lab. She’s always giving, so it would be great to take her on her dream trip to Rome, Italy and perhaps London England.
