How did your love story begin?

We had the same friends group in high school. A female friend of ours invited us both to a movie mid senior year, and after that night we made plans to spend Valentine's Day together because neither one of us had anything planned. We shared our first kiss in my bedroom after having dinner together at my hometown diner, and since then we've been inseperable. Except for when the Navy sends me away.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

For me, it's when we drove cross country moving all of her stuff from New Jersey to California, following our wedding. We traveled all over the southern half of the country, and visited so many places we never thought we'd ever see For her, during my first deployment to South-East Asia, she spent the entire 7 months planning our wedding, due to Covid restrictions, I almost didn't make it back to the wedding in time. My dad had a cardboard standee made so they could still have the wedding!

What would you do with $20,000?

Joanna makes the best decisions with our money, so we'd probably share it 25/75 so I can make poor economic decisions, such as buying car upgrades and other fun things, without wasting a significant amount of the money, and she can plan for our future by setting it aside in investments and making purchases for our family. It'd be no different than how the money normally comes and goes from what I earn from the Navy.
