How did your love story begin?

My wife was 5 and I was 4 years old. We lived in the same complex in Koreatown in Los Angeles. We were pretty much each others first friends. People would joke that we were a little couple. When I was 7 years old I had to move away to Palmdale. We lost touch and didn’t talk to one another for 15 years. Then one day on Friendster I found her and sooner or later we became a couple and got married. We now have 2 daughters together. The story is crazier but 500 characters can’t cover it.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The story how we got together is crazy - it was fate. Other than that it would be us buying our first house together. In LA it’s extremely difficult to buy a home. We had so many offers get rejected, so many things that fell through. And then one day we happened to drive down a random street where there was an open house. And that’s where we have lived for the last 12 years with our 2 lovely daughters.

What would you do with $20,000?

Speaking of the house we bought. As you know homes in California are extremely expensive, so when we bought our home the kitchen was “newly remodeled” but in a shoddy way by the previous owners. It wasn’t what we wanted but we had no choice. Because it was “new” it didn’t justify us redoing it. So with this money we would remodel our kitchen to our liking. I would also donate a portion of it to those who lost their homes in the Alta Dena fires. I have a lot of friends who lost their homes.
