I decided to follow my father’s footsteps and sail the Caribbean. I moved there alone at 50 after I took care of both parents until their last days. My mom made me promise her I’d move to my island. Then I moved from Chicago to St Croix and ran my own biz cleaning villas. Met and fell in love with a much younger man who builds airports down there. Got married, moved to Venice Florida after five years on a small island…I got cancer for our third year anniversary and BEAT IT. Plus we rock
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We met in cistern in Old San Juan. He is an engineer. While I asked him about the architecture he swam over and kissed me. i said “ I knew it!” He said “what?!”. I said I knew he’d be a good kisser. He tugged at my bikini and I said “nope”. Then I said if you want to see me again call me back on St Croix. And he did. Our friend caught a swordfish deep dropping and made tacos- I went for tacos and never left!
What would you do with $20,000?We would help the kids by trying to get a small place in Venice Fla where they can afford to live. And donate to Sarasota Humane Society.
