What makes us a great couple? I believe it’s because we’ve fought for each other for 24 years.

We met in high school and fell in love at first sight—but it wasn’t our time yet. Russ used to climb up to my apartment balcony just to see me and would walk me home from the bus stop. I would watch Russell swim in the apartment pool and secretly think how much I loved him. WE didn’t actually start dating until years later, when we randomly bumped into each other at a Kohl’s store.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of my favorite memories of Russell was when we got married at a small, old courthouse in Ellicott City, Maryland. He was there with his friends, and I arrived with mine. It was a simple, intimate ceremony with just a few family members—our parents and grandparents. As we waited for our turn to get married, Russell lightened the moment by messing up some of our wedding vows. It was funny and so perfectly him—a moment I’ll always cherish.
What would you do with $20,000?What would we do as a couple with $20,000? That’s simple—our 25th anniversary is next year, and we’re planning a special trip to celebrate. But if we had $20,000, we’d love to bring our family along with us. Sharing that experience with the people we love most would make it even more meaningful. The extra funds would make that dream possible.
