My husband and I started dating the first day of 8th grade. We are 40 now. He’s retired military and I’m a retired business owner.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
In 8th grade, I was a new student from across the country. I sat in science class as the new student and this 13 year old boy behind me pulled the tag out of my shirt. I turned a round and he said “I was just checking. It says made in heaven like I thought. Hi. I’m Matt.” I’ve been his ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? My favorite memory as a coupe is the day Sami came into our lives. I’ve even told since I was 14 that I’d likely never have children. I have endometriosis, adenmyosis, and PSOS. Matt and I got married and decided to start trying to conceive right as we knew it would likely take years. 5 weeks after we made that decision, I found out I was 3 weeks pregnant. We had picked baby names as freshmen and as soon as we found out we were having a girl, Samantha Kathryn Dawn was immediately her name.
What would you do with $20,000?Sami is making us grandparents in October 2025 and we want to help her begin her life on the right foot. As we are debt free and retired at 40, we want to assist our daughter in purchasing a home and not being stuck in the loop of rental after rental. With $20,000, we would help her with a down payment on a home and put the rest in a trust for her son so ensure they have the life they deserve.
