How did your love story begin?

We weren’t looking for love, but the universe had other plans. Now I know what a soulmate really is. We’re the couple who replay songs until we know every word, quote Nacho Libre daily, and laugh more than we ever thought possible. Our bond is rooted in shared values and a deep understanding of each other—and our two cats, our “kids,” complete the picture. Life has felt fuller, brighter, and more us ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is the night we decided to make our relationship official. I (Liz) had such an intense overflow of love and joy for Pita. One night, right before falling asleep I told him “I love you, dude”. After a moment of silence (& baby panic attack cuz why “dude”) Pita said it back. We already had so much love for each other as friends but when we said the L word for the first time to each other, we knew it was a forever deal.

What would you do with $20,000?

With this money, we’d be able to pay off debts, and start a future of stability and security. Living in the Bay Area (CA), you either need to come from money or work in tech to own a home, which neither of these apply to us. With this win, we’d be able to look more seriously into buying land in Liz’s family’s home country of Mexico to start our future instead of just manifesting.
