We meet on a bus at fisherman’s wharf in San Francisco, June 26, 1993 and we have been inseparable ever since. I was very shy. My best friend told him I liked him. I ran off and hid. She told me that he said come talk to him. I talked to and we exchange numbers that was it. He have been inseparable ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We’ve been together since 1993, and one memory that stands out is our wedding day I was two hours late, but he waited patiently and told the priest, “She’s coming.” We call it “Hankerson moment” From surprise babies (yes, one came the day after his vasectomy!) to surviving cancer and building a life from nothing, our journey—full of faith, love, and plot twists—is the greatest memory of all.
What would you do with $20,000?We come from humble beginnings, and my husband has worked so hard to give our family a better life. A $20,000 blessing would help us give him something he truly deserves—a space of peace and joy our whole family can share. After surviving cancer three times and carrying so much with quiet strength, this would be a way to honor him and all he’s poured into us through love, sacrifice, and faith.
