Like all great love stories, it started on Tinder. I am a travel ER nurse and was on an assignment in Nashville, I was only in MD for a few days for my sister’s wedding. I had been traveling full time so was just looking for a fling, she had just gotten out of a horrible relationship and was looking for a rebound. The timing had to be perfect, but somehow we matched. From the first message she was all I could think about and is still all I can think about 3.5 years later.

We were driving from CA to PA for my next assignment. Our drive took us on a rural highway through the mountains where towns were hundreds of miles apart. At one point it started to rain. We had not passed anyone for miles so we stopped in the middle of the road and got out and danced in the rain. It was just me and her in the middle of the mountains dancing and laughing. I remember at one point Hailey started to cry and said she had never been so happy. We describe it as a perfect moment.

I work as a travel emergency room nurse and Hailey starts trade school in the fall. Between the constant moving expenses, car troubles and paying for a wedding, we did not have any leftover for a honeymoon. Hailey has lived a hard life and has overcome a lot but still has the biggest heart of anyone I have met. All I want to do is to be able to show her all the beautiful things in this world. I would use the money to take her on her dream honeymoon that she deserves.
