Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story begins in high school 2016. We became friends during freshman year and we finally discovered something more in each other. Karl had never dated anyone before and I had the honor of being his first date and first kiss. After months of dating we ended up breaking up. Once we graduated, we never saw each other. We both grew into our confidence and adulthood. After we both experienced breakups with other people we met each other in a whole new light. We met again for the first time.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories so far has been celebrating him and his mother’s birthdays in Nashville last year. His mom passed away 2 days before Christmas 2023. She always used to call Karl her “Gemini twin”. In Nashville we spent the day at the CMA festival. Karl has such a love for music and spending her birthday surrounded by art and music was perfect. We have continued writing letters on balloons and releasing them on her birthday and death day.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 we would be able to put a down payment on our first home. To sign a deed in our name would be so meaningful to us. We plan to move out of our hometown and closer to my parents in Texas after our wedding in August 2026. Starting our family in a brand new house would be such a perfect memory to add into our scrapbook.
