We have been together almost 29 years. We have built a life through blood, sweat and tears and now living a semi retired life before our 50s
We would like to thank you for supporting Grace and Gelo in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We were introduced by a friend over the phone and went on a blind date, we did not like each other at all and did not speak until a month after. We just started talking all the time and 2 months after we declared our love for each other and decided to have a baby. It was 2 weeks before I turned 20 y/o when I found out we were pregnant and 3 more children followed. It has been a bumpy road getting to this point, but it’s worth it. We now have 3 adult children and an almost adult in high school
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We have plenty, but It’s the little things, having our “Tuesday ($6.50) Movie date” and our evening walks. We were working so hard our younger years we are making for lost times now. My husband would only come home on weekends for 11 years building a business, while I had a full time job taking care of our 4 children with the help of my mom. So it’s anytime we’re together.
What would you do with $20,000?There’s plenty of things I could think of using it for… College tuition, pay off our Solar, a family vacation but top of my list is to complete our backyard so that we can have a place where my husband (mostly) can relax and have a gathering place for our family or a church wedding since we didn’t have one-married by an officiant in an office in a sketchy part of town.
