How did your love story begin?

The best decision we ever made was donating to breast cancer awareness charity, because that’s how our story began. I posted a Gamma Phi Beta fundraiser on my story, he slid up, donated more than anyone else, & wrote, “hope this helps, cutie.” That one message turned into secret sushi and McDonald’s dates. We both were so nervous and sweaty. I made him look away while I shoved sushi in my mouth. From a small act of kindness to a love that feels like fate, it all started with one simple message.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory of us as a couple is making a series of “Hey kids!” videos in our car. We start off by saying “Hey kids” and share life updates, milestones, and even hard moments for the children we hope to have in the future once we are more stable in life. It’s how we celebrate each other and the journey we’re on. We pull out the camera whenever we feel like our lives are changing for better or worse. We hope one day, they’ll see the full journey that brought their mom and dad to them.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’re trying to build a strong future together, so we’d either use the $20K as a down payment on our first home or save it for our wedding. Either way, it would help us take the next big step in our journey, something we’ve been dreaming about and planning for ever since we met each other.
