Gina worked in dispatch, and I started as a new officer. Gina thought I was cute, and that led to a little Facebook sleuthing… "Fate" brought us to the same party. I asked her out, but Gina tried to friend-zone herself on the first date believing I was too young and would break her heart. Of course, love had other plans. We fell hard for each other, quit our government jobs, and hit the road in an RV with our pets. We’ve been building a life full of adventure ever since!

In the Smoky Mountains, Gina wanted to hit a big “puddle” with the OHV we rented. We were told not to go off trail, and me (Kez) - who hates breaking rules - was opposed. I eventually gave in, and it turned out that it wasn’t a puddle—it was more like a pond! We got stuck and sank the OHV. We laughed through the panic and mess, but you can just imagine the reaction of the guy that had to winch us out!

We'd give a few thousand to an animal shelter and then use the rest to make our senior dog’s final years as comfortable as possible. She needs physical therapy, medications, and we’d love to spoil her with a few more adventures that she can manage. She’s been there through everything with us. We think she would love a few more national park adventures that we’ve always dreamed of seeing together.
