We would like to thank you for supporting Gigi and Kirran in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met at Kirran’s gig, he was playing a show to about 20 people in a basement of a bar. Gigi’s dad was a musician, so she wasn’t really appealed by the guitarist, but charmed by his demeanor. We left the show and went to the train station and told each other our life stories without hesitation, followed by a “nice to meet you”.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Kirran is asleep on my shoulder now, so I’ll share mine (Gigi). My birthday, I spent 6 hours in the Spokane airport from a delay. I got into Seattle and the whole day had passed. I spent my entire birthday in the airport. When I got home to my apartment, Kirran opened the door with a rose in his mouth, my favorite music in the background, and rose petals all around the room. A heart of rose petals around a love letter to me in the bed. I was so overwhelmed with love.
What would you do with $20,000?Kirran would use the money to go to school while playing in his band. Gigi would use the money to continue her education in Social Work! We would also collectively use the money to pay for our new rent at our new apartment in Seattle.
