How did your love story begin?

I took a stage combat class in college that led me to join a martial arts school, I loved it and stayed. One year later, I met George as he had just returned from a work trip and he has been a part of this martial arts school for about 10 years. After a group class ended, I was getting ready to leave when George asked me if I was going to stay for sparring, I said no and we talked a bit more before I left. About a year later, I developed a little crush on George and decided to pursue him first!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

A favorite memory would have to be a night when we were winding down. We had just gotten home from grabbing a bite to eat and we put on a movie as we got comfortable. We were joking around with one another, then we began imitating one another. I did an impression of him and he did an impression of me, they were playful and made us laugh. It’s a favorite memory because it also showed how well we kind of know each other and the things we say.

What would you do with $20,000?

I am currently a graduate student and George is working hard to support our future. I am not far from finishing my program and we have had many discussions of what’s next. We are planning the next stage in our relationship and in life, the money would be very helpful in making it more possible. George says that life is about smiling, and I’d like to take any chance there is to make that happen.
